Sweden Daily eSIM — Never Run Out of Data

Daily-renewing data plan for your Sweden trip: choose 500MB–10GB high-speed data per day and the exact number of days you need (1–30 days). Once your daily high-speed allowance is exhausted, speeds are reduced — maps and messaging still work, unlike fixed-data plans where connectivity drops entirely.

  • Speed after the daily cap depends on the plan: 1 Mbps on 3GB, but only 500 Kbps on 2GB. A bigger plan doesn’t mean faster speeds once the cap is reached.

Using mobile data in Sweden: local tips

  • No signal on much of the Kungsleden. The Swedish Tourist Association says coverage disappears a few kilometres south of Abisko and doesn’t return until Kebnekaise Mountain Station or Vakkotavare. STF mountain huts have emergency phones.
  • Your phone needs 4G calling. Sweden switched off 2G and 3G in December 2025, so calls — including 112 — now go over 4G and 5G. Phones that can’t make emergency calls over 4G (VoLTE) may be blocked.
  • Swish needs a Swedish bank. Swish is everywhere, but it needs a Swedish bank account, BankID and a Swedish phone number — visitors should expect to pay by card.
  • Cash is rarely used. Sweden’s central bank notes that many small shops have stopped accepting cash, so keep a contactless card or phone wallet ready.
  • Stockholm tickets in the SL app. The official SL app sells Stockholm public transport tickets payable by card and plans journeys with real-time information.
  • Non-urgent police from a foreign phone. Call 112 for emergencies. For non-urgent police matters from a foreign mobile, dial +46 77 114 14 00 instead of 114 14.

FAQ

Depends on your chosen plan: 500MB/day → 512 Kbps; 1GB/day → 512 Kbps; 2GB/day → 500 Kbps; 3GB/day → 1 Mbps; 5GB/day → 512 Kbps; 10GB/day → 512 Kbps. After that, you stay connected until your daily high-speed allowance resets.

eSIM plans for Sweden connect via Three, Telia, Telenor. Your device automatically selects the strongest local network; 5G is available where supported by the carrier, otherwise 4G/LTE applies. The specific carrier for each plan is listed on its detail page.

Daily plans provide a fixed amount of high-speed data refreshed each day (e.g., 1 GB/day). Once the daily high-speed limit is reached, speeds are reduced but connectivity remains — the full high-speed allowance resets the next day. Fixed-data plans end completely once exhausted; additional data must be purchased.

Essentially similar to "unlimited" plans on the market: you always stay connected, but speeds are reduced after exceeding your daily high-speed data allowance. We clearly state the reduced speed for each plan so you can choose the right one—no vague marketing.

Select the exact number of days for your trip — from 1 to 30 days. Pricing is per day: travel for 5 days, pay for 5 days — no need to overbuy a 30-day package.

1 GB/day is enough for maps, messaging, and social media. 2–3 GB/day if you frequently watch videos or make video calls. 5–10 GB/day for livestreaming or sharing a hotspot with your group.

For most plans, validity starts from the first time your eSIM connects to a network at your destination—you can safely install it at home before flying. Exact details for each plan are clearly stated on its product page.
