Devices sold in mainland China do not support eSIM—except for the iPhone Air, 17e, 18 Pro / 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Duo. These exceptions support travel eSIMs only after leaving mainland China, with a maximum of two eSIMs. Hong Kong and Macau models support eSIM on select generations only.
Galaxy devices prior to the S26 series sold in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan lack eSIM. Starting with the S26 / Z Fold8 / Z Flip8, Hong Kong and Taiwan versions include eSIM; mainland China versions include eSIM but only allow foreign eSIM installation after leaving mainland China. ‘Same-name’ Galaxy models may differ in hardware across regions.
Pixel devices sold in Hong Kong typically lack eSIM.
