Norway Daily eSIM — Never Run Out of Data

Daily-renewing data plan for your Norway trip: choose 500MB–10GB high-speed data per day and the exact number of days you need (1–30 days). Once your daily high-speed allowance is exhausted, speeds are reduced — maps and messaging still work, unlike fixed-data plans where connectivity drops entirely.

  • Speed after the daily cap depends on the plan: 1 Mbps on 3GB, but only 500 Kbps on 2GB. A bigger plan doesn’t mean faster speeds once the cap is reached.

Using mobile data in Norway: local tips

  • Plan everything in Entur. Entur is Norway’s official national journey planner: routes, timetables and tickets for almost all public transport, including regional trains, buses and fjord ferries.
  • Mountains have dead zones. Some mountain areas have little or no reception, but keep your phone with you — its signal can help rescuers find you. Emergency numbers are 110 (fire), 112 (police) and 113 (ambulance).
  • Hjelp 113 shows your position. The Norwegian Air Ambulance’s free Hjelp 113 app lists the emergency numbers and shows your coordinates, so you can read them out if the emergency centre hasn’t received your position.
  • Yr and Varsom before you hike. Check the forecast on Yr and hazard warnings on Varsom before heading out. The Varsom app covers avalanche, flood and landslide warnings, and its maps can be downloaded for offline use.
  • Vipps is for locals. Norway’s popular Vipps payment app needs a Norwegian ID number, phone number and bank account, so visitors can’t sign up — pay by card or phone wallet instead.
  • Buy Oslo tickets before boarding. In Oslo, the Ruter app sells public transport tickets and shows vehicles on a live map. Buy your ticket before you board.

FAQ

Depends on your chosen plan: 500MB/day → 512 Kbps; 1GB/day → 512 Kbps; 2GB/day → 500 Kbps; 3GB/day → 1 Mbps; 5GB/day → 512 Kbps; 10GB/day → 512 Kbps. After that, you stay connected until your daily high-speed allowance resets.

eSIM plans for Norway connect via Telia, Telenor. Your device automatically selects the strongest local network; 5G is available where supported by the carrier, otherwise 4G/LTE applies. The specific carrier for each plan is listed on its detail page.

Daily plans provide a fixed amount of high-speed data refreshed each day (e.g., 1 GB/day). Once the daily high-speed limit is reached, speeds are reduced but connectivity remains — the full high-speed allowance resets the next day. Fixed-data plans end completely once exhausted; additional data must be purchased.

Essentially similar to "unlimited" plans on the market: you always stay connected, but speeds are reduced after exceeding your daily high-speed data allowance. We clearly state the reduced speed for each plan so you can choose the right one—no vague marketing.

Select the exact number of days for your trip — from 1 to 30 days. Pricing is per day: travel for 5 days, pay for 5 days — no need to overbuy a 30-day package.

1 GB/day is enough for maps, messaging, and social media. 2–3 GB/day if you frequently watch videos or make video calls. 5–10 GB/day for livestreaming or sharing a hotspot with your group.

For most plans, validity starts from the first time your eSIM connects to a network at your destination—you can safely install it at home before flying. Exact details for each plan are clearly stated on its product page.
