Ghana Daily eSIM — Never Run Out of Data

Daily-renewing data plan for your Ghana trip: choose 500MB–10GB high-speed data per day and the exact number of days you need (1–30 days). Once your daily high-speed allowance is exhausted, speeds are reduced — maps and messaging still work, unlike fixed-data plans where connectivity drops entirely.

Using mobile data in Ghana: local tips

  • Dial 999 or 112. Both numbers reach ambulance, fire and police. The regulator says calls to 112 are free, even with no credit or airtime.
  • Ask for a GhanaPostGPS address. Street addresses can be vague, so ask your accommodation for its GhanaPostGPS digital address. The official service uses it to pinpoint the exact location.
  • Expect rural coverage gaps. Ghana’s rural connectivity agency notes that many low-income communities still have no mobile coverage. Save routes and bookings offline before heading into the countryside.
  • Floods can knock out power. Heavy rain can flood Accra and other areas, cutting electricity and disrupting transport. In the rainy season, keep your phone charged and a power bank with you.
  • Check the driver before an app ride. Before getting into a ride-hailing car, check that the driver and vehicle match the app, and avoid travelling alone in taxis after dark.

Checked against official sources in September 2026. Services and coverage change — check the app or operator before you travel.

FAQ

Depends on your chosen plan: 500MB/day → 512 Kbps; 1GB/day → 512 Kbps; 2GB/day → 512 Kbps; 3GB/day → 1 Mbps; 10GB/day → 512 Kbps. After that, you stay connected until your daily high-speed allowance resets.

eSIM plans for Ghana connect via Vodafone. Your device automatically selects the strongest local network; 5G is available where supported by the carrier, otherwise 4G/LTE applies. The specific carrier for each plan is listed on its detail page.

Daily plans provide a fixed amount of high-speed data refreshed each day (e.g., 1 GB/day). Once the daily high-speed limit is reached, speeds are reduced but connectivity remains — the full high-speed allowance resets the next day. Fixed-data plans end completely once exhausted; additional data must be purchased.

Essentially similar to "unlimited" plans on the market: you always stay connected, but speeds are reduced after exceeding your daily high-speed data allowance. We clearly state the reduced speed for each plan so you can choose the right one—no vague marketing.

Select the exact number of days for your trip — from 1 to 30 days. Pricing is per day: travel for 5 days, pay for 5 days — no need to overbuy a 30-day package.

1 GB/day is enough for maps, messaging, and social media. 2–3 GB/day if you frequently watch videos or make video calls. 5–10 GB/day for livestreaming or sharing a hotspot with your group.

For most plans, validity starts from the first time your eSIM connects to a network at your destination—you can safely install it at home before flying. Exact details for each plan are clearly stated on its product page.
