Chile Daily eSIM — Never Run Out of Data

Daily-renewing data plan for your Chile trip: choose 500MB–10GB high-speed data per day and the exact number of days you need (1–30 days). Once your daily high-speed allowance is exhausted, speeds are reduced — maps and messaging still work, unlike fixed-data plans where connectivity drops entirely.

Using mobile data in Chile: local tips

  • Torres del Paine is mostly off the grid. CONAF lists mobile signal at only one point inside Torres del Paine National Park — plan to be offline on the trails.
  • Phone alerts for tsunamis and volcanoes. Chile’s emergency alert system sends location-based warnings to compatible phones for tsunamis, volcanic eruptions and wildfires. Scheduled tests also happen, so a test alert is no cause for alarm.
  • Use a physical bip! card. In Santiago, the phone-based bip!QR ticket needs ClaveÚnica, Chile’s government login, so most visitors will find the physical bip! card easier.
  • Check coverage by address. The regulator SUBTEL’s portal shows mobile coverage by operator for any address — a guide only, based on operators’ data.
  • Emergency numbers. Dial 131 for an ambulance, 132 for fire and 133 for police.

Checked against official sources in September 2026. Services and coverage change — check the app or operator before you travel.

FAQ

Depends on your chosen plan: 500MB/day → 512 Kbps; 1GB/day → 512 Kbps; 2GB/day → 512 Kbps; 3GB/day → 1 Mbps; 10GB/day → 384 Kbps. After that, you stay connected until your daily high-speed allowance resets.

eSIM plans for Chile connect via WOM. Your device automatically selects the strongest local network; 5G is available where supported by the carrier, otherwise 4G/LTE applies. The specific carrier for each plan is listed on its detail page.

Daily plans provide a fixed amount of high-speed data refreshed each day (e.g., 1 GB/day). Once the daily high-speed limit is reached, speeds are reduced but connectivity remains — the full high-speed allowance resets the next day. Fixed-data plans end completely once exhausted; additional data must be purchased.

Essentially similar to "unlimited" plans on the market: you always stay connected, but speeds are reduced after exceeding your daily high-speed data allowance. We clearly state the reduced speed for each plan so you can choose the right one—no vague marketing.

Select the exact number of days for your trip — from 1 to 30 days. Pricing is per day: travel for 5 days, pay for 5 days — no need to overbuy a 30-day package.

1 GB/day is enough for maps, messaging, and social media. 2–3 GB/day if you frequently watch videos or make video calls. 5–10 GB/day for livestreaming or sharing a hotspot with your group.

For most plans, validity starts from the first time your eSIM connects to a network at your destination—you can safely install it at home before flying. Exact details for each plan are clearly stated on its product page.
