Belgium Daily eSIM — Never Run Out of Data

Daily-renewing data plan for your Belgium trip: choose 500MB–10GB high-speed data per day and the exact number of days you need (1–30 days). Once your daily high-speed allowance is exhausted, speeds are reduced — maps and messaging still work, unlike fixed-data plans where connectivity drops entirely.

Using mobile data in Belgium: local tips

  • Tap to ride in Brussels. STIB metro, tram and bus validators accept contactless bank cards, phones and smartwatches — but one card or device can’t pay for several people.
  • De Lijn contactless covers the group. On De Lijn buses and trams in Flanders, one contactless card or phone can pay for up to five people, and transfers within 60 minutes are free.
  • Buy train tickets before boarding. SNCB stopped selling tickets on board from 1 July 2026, so buy in the SNCB app, online or at a station machine before you get on.
  • No Wi-Fi on Belgian trains. SNCB dropped plans for on-board Wi-Fi, and some parts of the rail network still have poor mobile coverage — keep tickets and timetables saved offline.
  • Free wifi.brussels. Wifi.brussels is the Brussels-Capital Region’s official free Wi-Fi network, available in many public places.
  • Install the 112 BE app. Belgium’s official 112 BE app calls ambulance, fire or police with one tap, and emergency centres can see where you are.

Checked against official sources in September 2026. Services and coverage change — check the app or operator before you travel.

FAQ

Depends on your chosen plan: 500MB/day → 512 Kbps; 1GB/day → 512 Kbps; 2GB/day → 500 Kbps; 3GB/day → 1 Mbps; 5GB/day → 512 Kbps; 10GB/day → 512 Kbps. After that, you stay connected until your daily high-speed allowance resets.

eSIM plans for Belgium connect via Proximus, Orange, Base. Your device automatically selects the strongest local network; 5G is available where supported by the carrier, otherwise 4G/LTE applies. The specific carrier for each plan is listed on its detail page.

Daily plans provide a fixed amount of high-speed data refreshed each day (e.g., 1 GB/day). Once the daily high-speed limit is reached, speeds are reduced but connectivity remains — the full high-speed allowance resets the next day. Fixed-data plans end completely once exhausted; additional data must be purchased.

Essentially similar to "unlimited" plans on the market: you always stay connected, but speeds are reduced after exceeding your daily high-speed data allowance. We clearly state the reduced speed for each plan so you can choose the right one—no vague marketing.

Select the exact number of days for your trip — from 1 to 30 days. Pricing is per day: travel for 5 days, pay for 5 days — no need to overbuy a 30-day package.

1 GB/day is enough for maps, messaging, and social media. 2–3 GB/day if you frequently watch videos or make video calls. 5–10 GB/day for livestreaming or sharing a hotspot with your group.

For most plans, validity starts from the first time your eSIM connects to a network at your destination—you can safely install it at home before flying. Exact details for each plan are clearly stated on its product page.
