Bahamas Daily eSIM — Never Run Out of Data

Daily-renewing data plan for your Bahamas trip: choose 500MB–2GB high-speed data per day and the exact number of days you need (1–30 days). Once your daily high-speed allowance is exhausted, speeds are reduced — maps and messaging still work, unlike fixed-data plans where connectivity drops entirely.

Using mobile data in Bahamas: local tips

  • Coverage concerns on some Out Islands. Business groups in Exuma and Eleuthera described service from both BTC and Aliv as poor or unreliable in 2025 — download what you need before leaving Nassau.
  • After a storm, try the other network. After storms one network can be down while the other still works. If your plan can use both BTC and Aliv, try selecting the other one manually in your phone’s network settings.
  • On a cruise ship. At sea your phone may join the ship’s own “Cellular at Sea” network, which is billed as roaming by your home carrier. Use airplane mode plus ship Wi-Fi on board and switch to your eSIM ashore.
  • Wi-Fi only goes so far. Nassau Cruise Port offers free Wi-Fi at the terminal, and Atlantis lists only specific areas with Wi-Fi — expect to rely on mobile data around the grounds.
  • Download your islands offline. Save Google Maps offline areas before leaving Wi-Fi; offline routing only works if the whole route is inside the downloaded area.

FAQ

Depends on your chosen plan: 500MB/day → 512 Kbps; 1GB/day → 512 Kbps; 2GB/day → 512 Kbps. After that, you stay connected until your daily high-speed allowance resets.

eSIM plans for Bahamas connect via Aliv, BTC on 4G/LTE networks. Your device automatically selects the strongest local network. The carrier for each plan is listed on its detail page.

Daily plans provide a fixed amount of high-speed data refreshed each day (e.g., 1 GB/day). Once the daily high-speed limit is reached, speeds are reduced but connectivity remains — the full high-speed allowance resets the next day. Fixed-data plans end completely once exhausted; additional data must be purchased.

Essentially similar to "unlimited" plans on the market: you always stay connected, but speeds are reduced after exceeding your daily high-speed data allowance. We clearly state the reduced speed for each plan so you can choose the right one—no vague marketing.

Select the exact number of days for your trip — from 1 to 30 days. Pricing is per day: travel for 5 days, pay for 5 days — no need to overbuy a 30-day package.

1 GB/day is enough for maps, messaging, and social media. 2–3 GB/day if you frequently watch videos or make video calls. 5–10 GB/day for livestreaming or sharing a hotspot with your group.

For most plans, validity starts from the first time your eSIM connects to a network at your destination—you can safely install it at home before flying. Exact details for each plan are clearly stated on its product page.
