- Gaps on outer islands. Mobile coverage in rural areas and on outer islands can be limited or non-existent: on Taveuni, Tourism Fiji says it is patchy in parts of the island.
- Two hours of airport Wi-Fi. Nadi Airport offers two hours of free Wi-Fi at both arrivals and departures.
- Buses don’t take cash. Fiji’s public buses use the cashless eTransport card system, so get a card before you ride.
- Watch cyclone updates. Cyclone season usually runs from November to April, but storms can happen any time. Follow the Fiji Meteorological Service.
- Emergency number. Dial 911 for ambulance, fire or police.
