Nepal Daily eSIM — Never Run Out of Data

Daily-renewing data plan for your Nepal trip: choose 500MB–10GB high-speed data per day and the exact number of days you need (1–30 days). Once your daily high-speed allowance is exhausted, speeds are reduced — maps and messaging still work, unlike fixed-data plans where connectivity drops entirely.

Using mobile data in Nepal: local tips

  • Gaps on the trekking routes. UK travel advice warns that mobile coverage is limited in remote areas, including long stretches of the Annapurna Circuit. Save maps and bookings offline before setting out.
  • Everest trails aren’t fully covered. Operators say it isn’t practical to cover the entire Everest trekking routes, so expect dead zones on higher sections.
  • 4G at some base camps. Nepal Telecom has extended 4G to Machhapuchhre and Annapurna Base Camps and to hilly sections of the Makalu Base Camp route — but don’t count on signal every day of a remote trek.
  • Tourist Police on 1144. Nepal’s Tourist Police run a toll-free 1144 hotline; for regular police, dial 100.
  • UPI works for Indian visitors. Visitors from India can pay Nepali merchants by scanning Khalti QR codes with UPI apps such as PhonePe and BHIM — the phone just needs data at the till.

FAQ

Depends on your chosen plan: 500MB/day → 512 Kbps; 1GB/day → 1 Mbps; 2GB/day → 512 Kbps; 3GB/day → 1 Mbps; 5GB/day → 384 Kbps; 10GB/day → 384 Kbps. After that, you stay connected until your daily high-speed allowance resets.

eSIM plans for Nepal connect via Ncell, NT Mobile on 4G/LTE networks. Your device automatically selects the strongest local network. The carrier for each plan is listed on its detail page.

Daily plans provide a fixed amount of high-speed data refreshed each day (e.g., 1 GB/day). Once the daily high-speed limit is reached, speeds are reduced but connectivity remains — the full high-speed allowance resets the next day. Fixed-data plans end completely once exhausted; additional data must be purchased.

Essentially similar to "unlimited" plans on the market: you always stay connected, but speeds are reduced after exceeding your daily high-speed data allowance. We clearly state the reduced speed for each plan so you can choose the right one—no vague marketing.

Select the exact number of days for your trip — from 1 to 30 days. Pricing is per day: travel for 5 days, pay for 5 days — no need to overbuy a 30-day package.

1 GB/day is enough for maps, messaging, and social media. 2–3 GB/day if you frequently watch videos or make video calls. 5–10 GB/day for livestreaming or sharing a hotspot with your group.

For most plans, validity starts from the first time your eSIM connects to a network at your destination—you can safely install it at home before flying. Exact details for each plan are clearly stated on its product page.
